"Alma Llanera" ("Soul of the Plains") is a Venezuelan song, a joropo, created by Venezuelan musicians Pedro Elías Gutiérrez (composer) and Rafael Bolívar Coronado (lyricist). It was originally part of a zarzuela whose premiere was on September 19, 1914, at the Teatro Caracas. Alma Llanera has since come to be considered as Venezuela's unofficial second national anthem. Its hundredth anniversary was marked by its being declared Bien de Interés Cultural.

Humberto Bruni is a Classical Guitar concert artist descendent from an Italian family, born in Venezuela, living in the United States of America as an American Citizen.
His musical training began at age fourteen when he took the first music lessons from his father Blas Bruni Celli. Then he studied and graduated with Highest Honors from "Juan Manuel Olivares" Conservatory of Music in Venezuela where he obtained the degree "Performer and Professor of Guitar".
Shortly, he received a full Scholarship to study at New England Conservatory of Music, in Boston, where he got a "Master of Music" degree in Guitar Performance. At age 15, Humberto Bruni made his first public appearance with great success in a solo recital, just after a few months of musical training. Bruni made his international debut at age 23 in the United States of America playing as a soloist with the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra at Mechanics Hall, Worcester, Massachusetts.
Since then, he has been performing Classical Guitar recitals, as well as performing as a soloist with Symphony Orchestras, in the United States of America, South America and Europe.​ Humberto Bruni is widely recognized as an accomplished and highly skilled and respected classical guitarist.
His expertise and contributions to the field are evident through several indicators:
