Anonymous - Romance

There is little information about this piece known as “Romance”, which is supposed it was written during the XVI century in Spain.

This piece became widely famous after it was chosen as the main musical theme of the French movie “Jeux Interdit”.

The Romance is a musical type of piece, which has a very simple musical structure.

This work consists in a well-defined melodic line in the tonality of e minor, which is always accompanied by arpeggios. It has a second part in E Major.

A melancholic character prevails during the entire piece.

After the second part is played, the piece ends with the first part in e minor.
